does anybody know if they are still standing ??has anybody got any photo's ??

"I was over there last summer, Chatham is still there and in use, Deal on the other hand has long gone...........it is now a wilderness! The site has now been returned to woodland and a sort of garden. I will dig out the pictures and forward them soon. "

i have just been told that deal was torn down because of the bombing in 1987...is this true... anyone got any pics of the damage ?????

I was stationed at Wegberg when JHQ was bombed the bomb was in one of the officers messes(!) the German one I think....one of the boarding houses was damaged...not sure which one but I think by then there was only one open anyway....as there were so few boarders....my memory may be wrong though......

"My dad was one of the housemasters at Deal 1980-1984, but we were back in the UK when the bombing happened. Not sure if either Deal or Chatham damaged at all ... think officers mess was round corner nearer the sports fields. Anyway, found the following link if interested :-
