Kurt Hoyte runs a sports shop called Run in Brighton(I think there is another one in a neighbouring town). He previously was a graphic designer/illustrator.

I was at Wildenrath from 1971-1973...my dad was a Fireman and worked at the camp's firesection. I remember going into the woods, which were thick, dark and filled with fir/pine trees (scary stuff). I remember Devil's Hill and Bog Island VERY well; also the GSO Canteen - especially the dukebox. We used to play Telegram Sam by T.Rex on it quite a lot !!!

Devils Hill - amazing how the name stuck - was it the same one?. We lived at Pembrook cresent with the woods at the back back in 76/77, we used to go through the woods, up devils hill to "Bunnys playground" and then on to the camp site and annoy the Germans. Dad had a moped we used to ride around the woods and try and jump the ditch, after a few attempts we gave up (big brother Mike and me) and thought we better get the old bike back in one piece as dad needed it to get to work. Those were the days.....

Hi Kevin,

I remember Alan, we used to hang out together. We dreamed of getting a band together at one time. He had long hair and glasses. Where is he? what's he doing now?

regards.
Mark Lawrence (79 Im Eichengrund Wassenberg)

Just found this site yesterday. So many memories. Lived at 18 Im Eichengrund, Wassenberg 73/74. Remember Alan Sherwood, Gerry & Kurt Hoyte, Liz Bulley, Karen and David Berry, Alwyn Pilkington, Ian & Glen Riley, Dave Loud and twins Kim and Nicky Smith, Phil and Mark Lawrence (i'm sure that they and the Pilkingtons moved to new houses (Mercury Weg) sometime later. Also in quarters near 13 Sig. Regt. Karen Deveaux and Anne Webb. I remember going to Tante Lucies, playing marbles (surely we were too old for that :) in a walkway between the houses and trips to Roermond in the tin can buses on a Saturday morning. Ah great times!!
