Subject: 2006 revisit to the ALMA MATER

GOOD TO SEE THOSE HARDY FOLK WHO TRAMPED THE CORRIDORS OF THE OLD SCHOOL AND SOME WHO CAST MORE THAN A FEW TEARS WHEN THEY REVISITED THEIR DORMS AND CLASSROOMS. yES THE OLD PLACE LOOKS SAD NOW BUT STILL HOLDS A HOST OF MEMORIES. WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON WHAT HAPPENS TO THE BUILDINGS

Subject: The Beige Lady

"This was the trip not to miss. We all went on a personnal journey, we had our private moments, it was special. It was sad to see her in such a state. She is getting old, the plaster is a little flakey and just a few broken windows....apart from that she still looks elegent. No matter what happens to her in the future, we will always see her as she was. She shall not die because we will always love her, the Beige lady of Hostert."

"We can't thank you all enough for your wonderful hospitality and sharing your personal memories with us. Just to be able to have a free run and explore hidden caverns sent shivers down many spines. Walking around hearing echos of the past brought back so many long forgotten memories.. (hence the need for a tissue or two)..but now they will always stay with me. When the new owners take over.. there should be an extra clause in the contract.... Ex-Kenties have the right of passage at any time!! It's a shame Mr.Martin couldn't join us, he was an inspiration to me. Thank you so much for a very precious moment in our lives. It was hard to say goodbye, so for now in the echoing words of Miss Lafferty ""salutations"". Caz xx"

"If we buy the place ourselves we can visit anytime. Sorry that's another thread. I too would like to say thanks for the hospitality. Didn't speak to you teachers too much as the rebel in me prevents me making friends with the enemy. Where would it all end? Offered a prefect role? Handing in homework on time or at all ? Decent reports, an education. Thanks for the food though!"
