Subject: Raf Laarbruch(Ryanaiir) "It is a very convenient arrival point for the next reunion.I heard that the route Manchester- Weeze may be reinstated soon too. Good train links and Weeze has some nice pubs, complete with pics of the various squadrons that were based at Laarbruch through the years,to while away the hours in whilst waiting for a suitable train" 04-Mar-2005 20:35:00

Subject: Laarbruch "Ahh the memories of the camp! We lived in the flats at Weeze.. from what i remember, nice little town.. excellent train service and welcoming pubs! Would be strange to fly into an airport that was once thriving with camp life. Dad was on 1 sqd with the tanks... i was known as the tea maid whenever i went up to see him after spending most of my holiday life poolside.... ohh those were the days!" 04-Mar-2005 23:44:00

Subject: RAF Laarbruch -Weeze "got a bus from Weeze to the terminal yesterday. On the way the driver told me that the RAF pulled out in 2000 and that commercial flights had been running since 2003. The officers quarters in Weeze on the left just before you get to the camp were sold for 76,000 Euros each ------if only I'd known!" 11-Mar-2005 13:38:00
