I made a mistake with the dates - well it was a long time ago and I went to so many schools!
As I said below, I would love to contact Mr Lovegrove German Teacher and Sheila McBirnie, originally from Fraserburgh. I would really like to hear from anyone who was there at the same time as me and remembers me. Perhaps jog a few memories for me.
I remember being in the ham radio club and doing domestic science with one other pupil while everyone else was making their subject choices for the following year; I was leaving to go to another school.

I'm still amazed what modern technology has achieved, since we all went to Kent Skool ! It’s just fantastic to find this site, brings back some wonderful memories of my best Skool ! I lived in Dusseldorf ( Ranke Strasse )71 - 75 I arrived at Kent School in 72, my Sister Wendy 71 -75. It’s all a bit hazy but here goes; Teachers-Mr Gilpin, Mr Evans. started in 1TP under Miss Pope who died thru brain haemorrhage during summer of'76. Then 2TP and finally 3DE (Mr Evans). I was known for always getting close to achieving a Merit Mark Certificate - finally did (and still have it LOL). What a surprise to find this site. I was amazed at the memories it stirred and realise what a great time I had at Kent. Arrived there from Cyprus in 1971 and was in 2RM (Miss Maybury). Brother Mark and sister Dawn were also at Kent. Left at the end of 6th form in 1977. We lived in Krefeld (de Greiff str) and have seen some names which ring bells. Others I remember were Paul Boon, Tim Simmonds, Phil Lawrence, Murray Smythe, Steve Sparks, Kay French, Lyn Corderoy, Di Webster, Mandy Poole, Tina Bushell, Terry Magee, Pat Ball, Don Wallcott, Sandy deSouza ... and from Krefeld Tina and Julie Nicholls, Jackie and Linda Fraser, Pam and Debbie LeCarpentier. Teachers? Well -Mr Whitley, Mr Mordecai (french), Miss Maybury, Miss Beaumont (scary maths teacher), Miss Askew (english), Miss Schofield (German), Mr Ellis (RE - not very nice to anyone! Great times in the PS rooms on the 6th form corridor and the balcony running along the outside down to Mr Whitley's office. Not much studying went on but we had some laughs! What was in those cellars and was there really a secret corridor/tunnel etc - who knows?! I was surprised at how emotional I felt seeing the photos, sad that they are now so derelict.

I also remember Mr Ellis, Bill mentioned he was a nasty piece of work - I actually enjoyed his geography classes, not so much his RE classes. I don't remember which house I was in. At last I recognise some names from the site. Was in Tonbridge house, played football and rugby for the school, had a great three years at the school but unfortunately learnt very little. Remember the Skidmores brothers, got to know Pete well in the end. Other names being the Potter brothers, Karl Hanks, Dave Davies and his future wife Jackie, Elaine Cassady, Bev Moir and her sisters, Ratty. Lived on Bruggen and spent many happy hours down the youth club. Joined the RAF and still in 32 years later. Married with two kids (22 and 17). Love to be in touch with anyone who new me....

ha, just been through ALL the messages to see who i recognise. a couple of people mention the rochester lunch time discos - i remember helping to hold those - it got us out of the rain!! Names i recall, Mr Cowan head of Rochester, Mr Whitely in 6th form (scared me!!)Miss Burgess, ooh, can't remember any other teachers. hung around with Debbie Smith, Lyn Corderoy, Kay French, Bobby from Bruggen and sister Wendy, Jeff Hebdon, Don Wallcott, the Skidmore brothers, Sandra de Souza, Sharon, Tom Mcghee. Lived at Bruggen and used to go to Snoopy's youth club, hang around in the Mally and the pool 1976 after finishing o levels in May was a fab long summer at the side of that pool!!! Great memories, fabulous school and even managed to leave with a few o levels!!! (fitted them in between sneaking around the cellars in black polonecks!!!!) ha ha ha!! Life in short, joined the Navy, then married an RAF chap, got 2 daughters (22 and 21) now a medical secretary and loving life to the full. (had breast cancer 2 years ago so everyday is a blessing!!) I rember you Terry, (I was your History Teacher). You were the only Aussie I had ever taught up to that stage which is why I remember you. Come to think of it you are the only Australian I have ever taught! We had an Australian member of staff at Kent in the 1970's. His name was Jim Dehring, we nicknamed him "Bazzer". However he returned to Perth W. Australia sometime about 1975 but you might not have encountered him at Kent. He was a Housemaster for a while in Deal House on JHQ and quite a character. Sue Bowden, now Sue Court, Yes I remember you well. Kevin James is around on the site aswell. I think Nigel Parsons pops in from time to time. Some of the lower sixth girls when we were upper come in from time to time too. Sat around browsing the net and found the Kentie site .Couldn't believe it .I lived in belgium(Herentals)and went to primary school on Emblem camp and then onto Kent School.Boarded at Deal House but only there for 6 months as parents got a posting back to the U.K. I remember a few people,Roger Foreman,Davina Foreman,Tony and Michele Pheehan,Wayne Evans.Just had a flashback anybody remember Mr McCardle and his green Saab from Deal House.What ever became of Kent School?.

Wow nostalgia or what hi all I have fond memories of the school ,Dawn Crawford,Jackie Bradley,Karen Anderson,Karen Witchard ,Steven Parker lived next door to us in Keltenstrasse mum Joan dad Bill,The Stoddard family Ingrid went out with my brother Jon,Scott Partridge (canadian guy) I could go on and on ,we had a dog called Laddie finished in 5MP was in Maidstone house, Mike Preen as Fagin I was one of the urchins, Loretta Plumridge never got on but remember her anyway feel free to contact me talk to Mr Wake on FB he was my english teacher ,Miss Millar Music,Mr Knox who can remember someone drawing a picture of concord and adding his name to it then sticking it to his office door, I could go on forever, hope to hear from someone soon regards BEV
