Hellooooo Maureen Robertson. Great to hear from you...god got one off your hands hey?
You sent that e-mail in the day of my eldest Sons birthday, Kris was 29.
I think I remember Lorraine Crawford too, but I didn't smoke so can't remember if I actually tried it once or twice with anyone at Kent.
Actually still don't smoke.God wasn't this all a long long time ago?
I strike 51 in a few weeks time and still feel like a big kid.Was in Rheindahlen a few weeks ago on a Business trip and met up with Jill Talbot who lives there with her hubby.
Hadn't been back there since leaving in 73...very strange going back after all this time. Didn't have time to pop to Kent school, don't know if I want to see it looking so sad....but going back to Germany in March, may go and see it, others may advise against it that have been sad to see such a lovely big place go to ruin.
Made the mistake of returning to RAF Binbrook a few years ago ,where I was born and had another spell there when I was 9,10, looked awful..all the Aircraft hangers where my Dad used to work were derelict...terrible.
I remember Mo having her bedroom in the cellar, a great place to was the first place I ran to when we all got caught knocking on doors and Gail Robinson ( I think it was Robinson) told the police on us all.
Ah happy days....keep in touch.
Ps how is Christine Quarrington doing these days?

Hi Chritine Randell, are you the Christine that used to bum around with me n' my sister Kath, as well as Janet, Anne and Angela (I'm sure there were others) at school? We used to sneak up the back of the playing feilds for a quick fag. Not all the time, just now and again. We also ran the other tuck shop, and sold hot drinks as well as other stuff.

Can't think of anymore at the moment. I do remember Mr. Ellis (nasty piece of work) who took R.E. and I think Mr. Black to science (but I might be wrong). I remember playing football in a blizzard :( were all sports teachers sadists? or is that just me?) It would be great to hear from anyone who remembers me or the people I've mentioned.

I arrived at Kent School early in 1973 with my wife to teach chemistry which I did (together with some physics)from junior classes through to U6. I worked in the boarding house, Deal for the early part of our time in BFES whilst my wife worked in Chatham. About 1976 I was seconded to Chatham House to work alongside my wife and we continued to work there together until the birth of our first daughter, Bronwen in June 1978. She became adopted by the house and many girls looked after her during our remaining time in Germany. Sadly we have lost touch with many from those years but are still in contact with Terry McNulty who used to teach history and with the Black girls, Jill and Julie who became godmothers to our oldest and second daughters respectively. We met Jill in June of this year as she made the journey from Switzerland (where she now lives)to Bronwen's wedding.Although we have lost touch over the years, we recall pupils whom we taught at school and both boys from Deal and girls from Chatham with much fondness and affection. We remember that we held a number of bridge parties at weekends, trying to teach this challenging game; I wonder if anyone out there still plays or remembers those sessions? We would love to hear from anyone who remembers us from those happiest of times.

I remember Andy Palmer, Mike Jones, Warren Flower and Geoff Webster. If anyone knows how I might contact any of these or remembers me, please let me know. I also would like to contact a bloke called Graeme Gilbert who ran the Scouts in Wildenrath at the time.
Cheers, Mayer.

I lived at RAF Bruggen with my parents (Dad was the Flight Sergeant PTI)and 2 younger sisters. My best mate was Nancy Jolley who had an older brother, Steve. We knocked around with Jacqui Barton and frequented the Malcolm Club on camp ... playing (with monotonous regularity) 'My Girl' by Otis Redding and sit with the younger airmen (my Dad would have gone ape if he knew that!) When I took my oral English CSE I remember the small room they used with the walls covered in egg cartons to muffle the sound of any conversation. We had to speak for 3 minutes about anything we chose. Thats a long time!...
